TONER ADHESION
Physical toner alteration attempts damage paper fibers, providing evidence of fraud.
CHEMICAL REACTIVE
A stain appears with most chemical alteration attempts.
VISIBLE FIBERS
Randomly placed colored fibers are embedded into the substrate.
INVISIBLE FIBERS
Ultraviolet fibers glow when viewed with a black light.
FULLY CONTROLLED
The security paper is fully controlled by strict Chain of Custody 11 standards from the paper mill to the end customer.
THERMOCHROMIC INK
Ink that changes density or color by a temperature change.
THERMO VALIDATION SEAL
A hidden validation message is revealed with a temperature change.
ERASURE SENSITIVE
An erasure-sensitive ink that reveals alteration attacks.
UV FLUORESCING
An invisible ink which becomes visible under ultraviolet light.
CODE ENCRYPTED WARNING
A “Copy Evident” feature is created utilizing encrypted Micro-Text characters for secondary verification or court enforcement.
MICRO-TEXT WARNING
A verification and “Copy Evident” feature first developed in 2001 that utilizes very fine-printed screen dots in conjunction with Micro-Text characters to create a warning message when scanned or copied.
SCREEN ANGLE ODTTM WARNING
A “Copy Evident” feature first developed in 1994 that utilizes screen lines at different angles to create a warning message when scanned or copied.
BIG DOT/LITTLE DOT WARNING
A “Copy Evident” feature first developed in 1978 that utilizes large screen elements blended with smaller screen elements to create a warning message when scanned or copied.
ENGRAVED STYLE BORDER
Utilizing very high-end graphic software to produce a finely detailed high-resolution border that will distort and degrade when copied.
MICRO-TEXT PANTOGRAPH
The entire pantograph background is printed with Micro-Text characters in a relief pattern.
SCANNING VALIDATION
A portion of the Micro-Text background incorporates a latent message which is embedded into the background and is recognized by a scanner at a specific scanning protocol.
PRISMATIC PRINTING
A two- or three-color blended background that is difficult to copy or scan at the same color levels.
PAYEE AREA PROTECTION
Background of Payee information area is printed in Micro-Text and Thermochromatic inks which provide maximum alteration protection.
MICRO-TEXT LAID LINES
The back center of the check is printed utilizing Micro-Text laid lines to give maximum protection against cut-and-paste alteration attempts.
THERMOCHROMIC CAMOUFLAGE
A graphic pattern is overprinted in Thermochromic ink on specific areas of the face of the check to assist in verification, provide alteration protection, and to help camouflage the background 11 Copy Evident 11 message.
INVENTORY CONTROL NUMBERS
Used for auditing and to discourage internal theft when checks are inventoried.
NON NEGOTIABLE BACK PANEL
The back of the voucher blank portion is printed with the words Non Negotiable step and repeated to protect the blank area of the secure watermarked paper from being used to counterfeit a new check.
SECURE ORDERING PROCEDURES
All check orders are confirmed and matched to a legitimate end customer.
GUARANTEE
Is a pledge to replace the check along with a $1000 inconvenience refund if the security technologies on the check are replicated.
